The original bath had a 24" door. This door will be replaced with a 36" pocket door to allow for greater access.

Journaling the process of building a univeral design home (handicapped accessible) to accomodate our family of five daughters, one has Cerebral Palsy. Lauren is non-verbal and non-ambulatory, but she is able to move about in a power wheelchair. Our mission is to build a house that will accomodate the needs of our family for years to come.

Wow, looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you. FYI- You may want to think about getting a walk-in tub for your bathroom. There are several types/models available and they seem to cover all aspects of safety and convenience. www.arwholesale.com has several features and options. Good luck with your renovations!
